I most enjoy that moment when a new diver starts to gain confidence and begins to understand what it is to be a PADI Open Water Diver. I have been diving for over 20 years and have had the pleasure to dive all over the world and I've found that it's one of the best ways to see the world and get to know more about the people we get to me in the dive shop. I look forward to seeing you in the shop and diving with you on one of our upcoming trips.
My favorite dive locations have been Fiji, Raja Ampat, Gallapagos, Little Cayman and Bonaire.
My career as an IT consultant and professional ice hockey official have really helped prepare me for sucess as a PADI Professional.
I have personal interests in ice hockey where I coach youth hockey, travel to both diving desitnations & historical destinations as well as building Legos.
Tim is a Course Director and Instructor Trainer.
I am passionate about scuba diving and have loved it since the first time I put on the gear and started my own journey. I enjoy learning about diving and in turn, educating people about diving. I have continued my own training journey by taking technical dive courses.
I look forward in guiding you in your own scuba diving journey.
I’m a retired Marine Corps Officer where I got the opportunity to fly in the A6 Intruder and after getting my MBA at The George Washington University became the Associate Director of Manufacturing at the United States Mint and served as the Superintendent/Plant Manager of the Denver Mint.
Dave is an IDC Staff Instructor.
I've been diving since 1980 and been fortunate to have over 2,000 dives from all over the world. It's been a great opportunity to meet so many great people and establish wonderful friendships over the years. I've really enjoyed being able to dive with divers who were once my students and see their progress and how far they have come in their diving journey.
My favorite dive destination is Fiji and love the coral and the people.
My favorite class to teach has been the initial confined water class to new divers. Just watching the student take that first breath of air underwater always amazes me.
Surprising fact about me is that I feel more comfortable underwater than I do most of the time on land.
Luke is an IDC Staff Instructor. I am a small business owner and is a Marine Corps Veteran. I really like that moment in teaching when it all becomes clear on a skill and a student suddenly gets it. Very gratifying.
I started diving locally in Colorado in 1994 and worked my way up to Divemaster. Diving in local mountain lakes and ice diving was my favorite. After several years as a Divemaster, I took a long break for family reasons and the last few years, my wife got hooked on diving, and I got back into the sport and continued my scuba journey and became an Instructor.
Favorite Dive Destination: Currently, Belize is at the top of my list, but I am happy diving most anywhere in the Caribbean.
Favorite Class to Teach: Rescue Diver, which teaches divers how to help other divers in trouble. As a Lieutenant / Paramedic for a local fire department, this class is right up my alley.
Surprising Fact: I had my mask and regulator knocked off by the tail of a 6-foot reef shark.
Justin first became scuba certified in 2000 in Fiji on his way back from Antarctica where he was finishing a contract as a Fire Fighter for the United States Antarctic Program.
Over the years he advanced in his diving career and became a Divemaster in 2009 while living in New Jersey and recently became an Open Water Scuba Instructor here is Colorado.
During his life he has done a lot of different things including working as a member of a Search and Rescue Team, Firefighter in CO PA and Antarctica, teaching paddle sports and outdoor skills with L.L. Bean, working at a ski resort dealing with Bears, at the same resort as a supervisor for the department of public safety.
One thing that has always been true is that Justin has followed his joy for teaching and the love of water. No matter if it was as a fire academy instructor or when working for L.L. Bean outdoor discovery school instructor, he has always enjoyed passing on knowledge about things he enjoys.
Nowadays he enjoys a more relaxed pace of life with his wife Jennifer and kids Kelly and William. Having two young children he enjoys showing them the underwater world with hopes that they will become divers when they are old enough to get certified.
I received my initial open water and advanced open water certifications at the United States Air Force Academy in 1996. During my first USAF assignment at Eglin AFB in Fort Walton Beach, FL, I was very fortunate to connect with people that owned boats that allowed me to get diving experience from Pensacola to Key West. I dove every chance I could, even if it was scraping barnacles from snowbird’s sailboats.
I love seeing the excitement in new diver’s eyes when they ascend from a dive and they are amazed about the world that they have been missing out on.
My favorite dive is the Destin Liberty shipwreck.
